24-hour care is designed to ensure that there is a trained member of the team in the property 24 hours a day to care for you or your family member. The care you receive is person-centred and structured to ensure all required tasks are carried out.
An initial assessment will be carried out by one of our expert team leaders or managers to decipher what care and support would be beneficial to maximise independence or to provide specialist care provision for degenerative illnesses.
They can signpost on any day-to-day living tasks such as phoning the GP, providing a supporting visit to GP or hospital appointment or simply just help getting out and about.
The expert support that is available would put you at ease knowing you or your loved one has the care and support around them whenever it’s required. Each 24-hour care package is tailored specifically to each service user, following our person-centred approach to care.
While the team members are in the property for their shift, they can help complete domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, shopping, running errands and more.
As there will be a team member with you or your loved one 24 hours a day, medication can be administered when required, such as pain management, prescription medication to be given at a certain time every day.
During the 24-hour package of care our team member can support with medication when required. Carers can prompt prescription medication from a blister pack, pain management medication, and use specialist equipment such as PEG to give to the individual. Carers are required to complete relevant legal paperwork that goes alongside medication support.
We can also apply creams to any areas requiring treatment following a healthcare professional’s advice.
We can also provide emergency care packages which can be put into place at a cost not much more than a care home.
