About our Penryn office
Manager Heidi says:
“I first joined Alexandras Community Care in 2015 and have built my career in care through a variety of roles across the organisation. After spending time in a hospital setting to further develop my clinical knowledge, I later returned to Alexandras as Office Administrator for the Redruth office, where my care journey had first begun.
Since then, I have continued to progress within the company, moving into a Deputy Manager role before joining the Penryn branch to support the team during maternity cover. I have remained with the branch ever since and am now in the final stages of completing my NVQ Level 5 qualification while applying for my own registration as Branch Manager.
The Penryn branch opened in April 2018, providing home care across Falmouth, Penryn and the surrounding areas. Today, the team also supports clients in areas including Mylor, Flushing, Constantine, Perranwell and Mawnan Smith.
I am supported by a fantastic local team made up of a Deputy Manager, Admin staff, Team Leaders and Carers. Together, we provide flexible care packages with visits starting from 30 minutes through to 24-hour care, with one or two carers attending depending on the level of support required.
Alongside personal care visits, we also offer companionship and social visits. This could include a stroll along the seafront, help with shopping, lunch out, or simply sitting down for a chat and a cup of coffee.
I am proud to be part of the Penryn team and passionate about supporting both my colleagues and the people we care for. My focus is on helping the branch continue to deliver kind, reliable and person-centred care.”
CQC Comments:
"Staff were respectful and supported people to be as independent as possible."
Homecare.co.uk review for the Penryn team March 2026:
"I'm visiting my elderly relative for a couple of days and have met some of the staff. We have been using the services for 6 weeks now. The staff are lovely and kind. They are meeting resistance in these early days, though but keep smiling and do everything they can. We are satisfied overall with the service and communications received." View on homecare.co.uk.
I've been working for Alexandras for 2 years. In September 2022 I was promoted to Team Leader and in Feb 2023 to Deputy Manager.
I used to work in the care profession and then had a break and went into retail.
When Covid happened I decided that now would be a better time than ever to go back to the caring profession.
I enjoy long walks, learning the guitar, reading and crafting activities.
